Septic systems can be overloaded or “Shocked” by cleaning chemicals, antibiotics, or intermittent use. Novozymes Bio-products restore effective activity in septic systems to reduce bottom solids and surface scum, eliminating the need for excessive pumping. Treatment also reduces odour by degrading malodourous volatile fatty acids released by incomplete digestion. Novozymes' technology protects drain fields by stimulating biological activity to lower organics and solids in effluent stream.

Novozymes' technology helps nature clean itself by introducing highly specilized, naturally occuring microorganisms with enhanced degradation capabilities.

Bio – product formulations for waste removal are developed based on the organics to be degraded in specific applications.
